In early August, the radio program “Radio Pravda” began to be broadcast from the historical radio station in Sitkūnai (Kaunas district) on medium wave at a frequency of 1557 kHz. Radio Pravda will, through Nasha Lenta, provide an engaging format for educational and informative radio programming to Russian-speaking audiences. Radio Pravda is produced in the Netherlands and is regulated by the Dutch Commissariat for the Media.
The radio signal from the Sitkūnai radio station covers not only the European part of the Eurasian continent, but also reaches as far Siberia. In preparation for the resumption of broadcasts, part of the Sitkūnai radio station’s infrastructure, which had not been used for a long time, was restored and updated by a team of engineers from Telecentro.
“Radio Pravda” broadcasts from the Sitkūnai radio station every day from 20:00. up to 24 hours (LT time) at a frequency of 1557 kHz.
